How the heck did you take a design that looks like it was designed for a mid-80s/90s SMHUP game with simple graphics, and come out with this beauty?
Now, to actual critique just a little, while I love the top and the nacelle/pods....the fact you went from rounded angles all around to suddenly a full on 'bulge' oblong/ovoid shape as the 'belly' feels rather out of place. Not wrong, just...odd.
Try not to think too hard about it. It'll shatter your mind, because he does 4K rebuilds in the time it takes probably most of us to just do a 1/4th of a build in a lower res. It makes my creative muse want to go crawl into a corner and sob, while my imaginative muse is having a rave party from sheer joy at all the new art. I'm terrified of the day someone asks him about nBSG designs and his answer is "Eh, I've got 2 hours free".
Now I REALLY want a X-Wing/TIE-Fighter remake with this graphics!
A "remake" wouldn't be ambitious enough. I can't be the only one who'd like play through battles like the Battle of Scariff, Battle of Coruscant, and the Disaster at the Deep Tingle Besh, can I?
One of my favorite features of X-Wing Alliance is the simulator feature. I'd love a game that expanded on that, so I could set up and play through scenarios, such as how many more Alliance ships it would have taken to jump in into prevent Vader's fleet from capturing the Profundity (or even defeat Death Squadron entirely).
The problem with the simulator feature is that the number of ships you can set up is very limited, and the capital ship NPC AIs aren't always very smart (they won't always fire at the enemy).
If there were a game that could do this with as much detail as above, though, that I'd love to see!
A TIE fighter level, I'd expect? I don't want to play the Rebels in that one.
No, a Rebel level, like the Battle of Hoth in Rouge Squadron. It would be an especially difficult level for those who have boycotted the films. I would expect the objectives to be the following:
Help protect the capital ships/attack TIEs and the two Star Destroyers defenses.
Survive the battle
Jump to lightspeed after the Profundity has received the plans.
Red and Gold Squadron survived that battle, so it would be a difficult scenario, but not impossible to survive.
What players would have to beware of is not trying to race through the force field (the forces that initially made it through were eventually overpowered) and jumping to lightspeed before reinforcements from Death Squadron can coordinate.
And for those who do join the battle above Scariff’s surface, they’d probably should be in the upper atmosphere by the time that the Death Star fires.
Can't wait till the Bellator is finished. It's the first Star Destroyer that made me follow your work. Are we going to see a Executor Redux after this?
Fractal, I think you broke their minds on Artstation.
Although I'm curious, what is up with the occasional red line/light I'm seeing on the Bellator? Would that happen to be connection 'points' for different sections of the mesh?

Anything primary colored is likely an object that I missed the texture for. There are red window lights though (though rare).

I would love to see your ships in a Star Wars movie.

I would be SO up for that. Not only with this level of graphics, but also @fractalsponge's superior take on the various semi-canon designs.

Executor? Maybe someday.
I sure hope so! Fingers crossed.
