nice work on both the doors and the escape pod hatches. If ya going to make the nemesis version of the enterprise e the center door needs to be changed.

    Carl

Yep, it's one big door in the middle and 3 small door on each side. An easy fix for him though.

even that production sketch doesn't reflect the model in the film accurately. There's issues with the control booth and a few other things.

the door is one big door, just because you see it open all at once doesn't mean it's not there

As we are recovering WIP images for this mesh here's an older version of the nacelles from a while back.

Nick, are you're converting this baby? You are a brave, brave man. :)

It keeps me off the streets.

Actually, the parts I've had so far have been pretty good. Certainly a lot easier than Dave's D.

Stop making this look so cool!:D Amazing work IRML.

Simply astonishing...the sheer level of detail makes me realise how much I've still got to learn. And that Bussard gas test was a thing of beauty.

Freak: (I can call you Freak can't I? ;)) That is a custom mod that has to be installed and therefore is completely and soley(sp?) in Ace's capable hands...I ain't even gonna try that myself...You don't want to loose the forums all over again do you? I don't think I could handle the emotional torment! ;)

I imagine it is reasonably high on Ace's list though. Shouldn't be too far away...:)

    Sorry, IRML...Back to you man!

I think if that were the case it would have 1/4 the detail but be done in a week. ;)

Yer right, I shoudn't insult this work of art like that. I retract my ILM statement. :)

John--I think we'd ALL love to see those! I love the Generations/First Contact Sketchbook, but those fantastic two-page spreads are totally ruined by the book's spine! I actualy broke mine in the middle to see the full shot of the bridge. Mmm, goodness :)

Thank you! I reposted the thread, it's in my signature.

Actually I've gotten a lot of help as far as reference etc from a few members of this board.

John Eaves, your design for the Ent E is the coolest Star Trek ship yet.
  • JedilawJedilaw0 Posts: 0Member
Allow me to second that opinion! I'd go so far as to rank the Enterpise E among the best starship designs in any series. John, I would put you right up there with Joe Johnston, Nilo Rodis, and Matt Jeffries for starship designers.

Returning to slightly more OT matters: when are we going to see large-scale renders of the entire Mesh as it currently exists? We've seen lots of stunning bits and pieces, but I am itching to see the whole ship.

    Pretty please? :D
