Nice ship, can we see some more angles. The details look good but it would be nice to see them closer up, that radar dish and the yellow truss structure for example. Also what about sub-light reaction engines, are they obscured behind it's tail? or does it lack rocket engines of any kind?

Thanks for posting the extra pics, nice detailing.
Good work on the truss structure in the second image, and good work on the blue glowing "vanes" on the lower part of the inner side of that "nacelle" structure along the side. The texturing on the "nacelle" in that shot is also pretty decent.
I can't see the full detil inside but i notice you have windows along the length of the central structure "within" the truss, have you modelled all the insides?
I think the rear section could use a bit more work to bring it up to the detail level seen in the second picture, and that adding a texture to the "tunnel" within the truss would also be good.

yep, that's why it's posted in WIPs and not the Finished section...
I think it looks fantastic so far. I like the variety of designs that you're incorporating into your universe and the amount of work and detail you put into all of them. :thumb:
Thank you very much. This would have been pretty awesome back in the day when I first wanted to make movies. Back when Star Wars first came out. And look, we are still fasinated with those designs and thrill at the movies.
I really like the second one. Though, the one with the city isn't bad. However, it could use some more signs of life, like some other traffic, or something.

I agree. I've been trying to get those awesome "god-rays" in my fog, almost there...
I like the asteroid with the ring around it, but I do wonder: wouldn't a mass-driver simply chucking bits of the asteroid overboard be a more efficient means of propulsion, so long as you're not in a hurry?
Interesting that there are windows on the inboard side of the hulls, where the only thing they can see, really, is into the windows across the chasm from them. Urban astronomy takes to space!

Agreed. That's awesome. :thumb:
New Ship: This universe's first FTL ship the "Odyssey"
"Blue" I hope you don't mind I borrowed the Hull config
Sure... Your wish is my command...

Well said! One expects things to not be finished, hence calling it a work in progress.

Fusion used to cost about $2500, so it's a steal getting it for free now.
I used Sketchup - Octane - Fusion - Resolve to put it together
Ding, ding, ding... we have a winner! And on the first guess! Don, tell her what she's won...
It's pretty cool, I've got some ideas I want to try. Like a coiled mic cord for my Herc bridge.
Thanks guys...
I've reworked the landing gear on the Herc:
and did some noodling on how the docking might go on the big hauler:
Let me know what you think.
