you are right about f117 s and wright flyers. those human ships are not in the sort of style i would imagine, either from soft sci fi, hard sci fi or theoretical starship proposals so they look a bit unusual aswell. you've certainly designed more ships than i could before running out of ideas.
the markings are quite a nice touch, otherwise i will reserve any judgment of the design as a whole until it is further done. does the structure spin? personally i could see this making a good part for a ship but on it's own it looks like a station, there is no apparent propulsion system, that said i can really see some features much like those form some earth force babylon5 ships. the little "bridge(?)" at 90 degrees to the other circles is a cool element.
The big ring is the FTL drive coil - and maybe some fuel storage. Drives tend to be rather small in most sci-fi ships, so I sometimes like to make them outsized. It doesn't spin. The red gumball and the smaller rings surrounding it are the sublight drive and power station. The gumball is the reaction containment zone.

once again a good sketch, i suppose you have only modelled a small part so far but it is hard to tell which. try making the models more like the sketches and i think they could be better. another issue is the way your models seem to lack hard lines, everything is curved and smooth even on parts where it should not be. if the model comes out like the drawing it will be excellent, otherwise i'll just have to see what it becomes(it might be as good, or it might be better, or it might be worse). i like the tanks and also on the drawing what appears to be a metal, panel lined hull.
very good, maybe make the window area on the bridge curved rather than a squarish shape. perhaps also make the rear module smaller, otherwise fantastic.
very nice but the perspective in that image is awful, i don't know the specifics of your program but in sketchup that sort of image is formed when you turn to alter the field of view away from 35 degrees, in blender that would be due to an orthographic camera. talking purely about the model, very good but you should add extra supports for the large tanks further back along the fuselage and make their ends more rounded. the detailing so far uses some nice features.
The last image (and most that I've posted) are parallel projections instead of perspective projections. (It's the default.) I'll eventually get into the camera settings and the new rendering commands, but for now I'm mostly into design.
Added some colors, and pieces and panel lines and changed the setting to perspective for this image.

Reminds me a bit of that Matt Jefferies Enterprise concept ring ship, and the Asimov from B5.
