I just realized that maybe some explanation would help. The rounded part is the front (for nudging and pushing rocks around). The square pyramids are the thrusters (slow but constant thrust). There's an outer 'collision' hull (lighter color) that's expected to get beat up, and an inner hull (darker) for the habitat and sensitive systems.
cavebear: the tanks resulted from me having a setting wrong. My errors often turn out better than my intentions. Maybe I should make that a motto - have some cards made. "Maker of fortuitous errors."
evil_genius_180: The chili turned out pretty good, considering I didn't have all the normal ingredients.
Adjusted the spacing for the tanks and started on the bumberchutes.
That is one cool looking ship (ref to the pics in your last post). Also liked the effect you got in paint shop. Error or not it was interesting. Colour scheme for the ship as it is now makes me green with envy. Great colour sense you have!
Well this is turning out to be pretty interesting with that framework you've built. I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea what the final shape will be Trying to figure out just what kind of "spacecraft" this was supposed to be when it was built by your Chatoyant Transition culture. I will guess that it has something to do with deep space mining.
Okay, a robotic asteroid miner/refinery it is. It attaches itself to an asteroid, refines the materials, then fires the processed slugs into a collection orbit.

The ship is looking good so far.

I'm not sure which one I like better.
I had a setting wrong in Paint Shop. That's why they looked scorched.

Decided to go with both, and add two more.

Worked on the transport ship. Mostly stared at it, really.

I hope it will look less boring with the engines and mining gear attached.

Yeah, I've thought it looked like a satellite, a salt shaker and a Dalek.
