I haven't watched the Derby for years now. The local coverage lasts for about 14 hours straight, and is mostly about previous Derby winners and visiting celebrities, I've never heard of, that are momentarily famous. Oh, and the drunks being arrested in the Infield.
All the fatal errors from the bajillion windows finally got me to stop with this. Two errors that were serious enough that I got responses from Autodesk error reporting. Although this afternoon I was told to order a better video card for my work computer so... yay!

Somebody at Autodesk needs to pull their head out of their a**. I see no reason why your video card would make a difference as far as modeling errors. The only thing it should affect is 3D views and whatnot, especially solid rendered views. It might make moving around in 3D view a hassle due to the strain as it's rendered, which could cause some lag, but it won't affect modeling. Isn't it great when "tech support" doesn't even have a clue what they're talking about?
If someone at autodesk pulled their head from their...posterior, they would not fit in with the corporate culture the leaders have strived to develop over the years. As for the program, it's good, but they need to fix the flaws instead of adding new features I won't use. And the pricing is just North of silly.

I wouldn't quite put it that way on the pricing. I thought Max and Maya were expensive until I checked the price of that. I mean, they are expensive, but I guess it could be worse. The only Autodesk product I own is the pro version of their drawing app on my tablet, and I got that for $0.25 a while back because the Google Play store was having an anniversary sale.
It's getting pretty difficult to go to the company President explaining to him why we need $4200.00 US (plus $450.00 yearly subscription per copy) for a piece of software, that from his point of view can be replaced by some freeware. (In the past he signed me up for a newsletter for freeware CAD from China that admittedly looked nice, except for it being in Mandarin.)
The problem is that they can charge that much. Big professional firms use this software and pay those prices with no argument. Unfortunately, that leaves smaller firms and individuals stuck paying the same. There are some free CAD programs, but I don't think you can get the same quality for free.
The ship's looking really cool. I'm liking the details.

I added a few spires and things, and a bunch of windows. I'm waiting for flames to shoot out the back of the computer.

I've never been to the air show. 29-ish years living here and I've never been. Maybe I'll go some year.
