The fortress looks awesome. Good work on the texturing. Might I ask why the supports for the bridge are so vastly huge? It seems like a waste of material to build something that has such as weak point at the top.
@ evil_genius_180 : Well, for some reason it lost its glow but for the most part the affect is somewhat there. I mean, I guess it looks like a force-field...
@ Jenny: Thax, appreciate it. And to be compared to AC... what an honor. :thumb:
I don't remember exactly where I got the idea from, probably more than one place, but these are kind of like those little tiny trucks you might see maintenance workers, or landscape crews, driving around in at a large complex or campus... They're for carrying tools and personnel around the facility. Gotto scuff'em up a little bit though
You know I may just add a windscreen to it now that you've mentioned it. It can get up to 60 mph.
Still making textures, so it may be a little while til the next update. But so far, I'm kind of happy the way it's going so far.
@ Armondikov: There are also walking mechs in this universe as well, not to mention heavy armored tanks, w/wheels. And even though most of them can hover as well, it just makes good sense to have wheels on some of that stuff too. To conserve power, in case a hovering mechanism goes out, etc. :thumb:
On the need for a bridge discussion, let's not forget good ol' fashioned walking. As in people walking from point A to point B. I don't know about you, but I definitely would not like to climb down a sheer cliff, swim across the water at the bottom, and then climb back up an equally sheer cliff. I would definitely prefer to make use of a nice, handy bridge.
If anybody attacks it from the side or front, the people aboard are screwed. Unless you plan to have other soldiers on board with guns pointed out the sides (like modern day military transports.)

@ Juvat: The bottom 2/5 of the supports are going to be a dam, and a auxiliary power station, for when the river is flooded. I have to fill it in.

Well, that answers that question.
