@Dr-Timelord: well remember, there's 11 years of "new" history we don't know about, and as Reyf pointed out, 11 years is a long time. Plus, there's the unanswered question of what happened to evil future Garr (and the ISS Voyager for that matter).
A few more fun facts about the finale:
-the music is a fan vamp of "The Inner Light," by Stahlr3g3n, which can be seen here
-the sound effect of the holoimager going off is actually a Neuralyzer from "Men in Black"

Good choice!
"The Inner Light" is one of Star Trek's finest hours. All the memories, hopes and dreams of people who perished more than a thousand years in the past brought back to life. If you ever get the chance to experience the orchestral version live, cherish it. It's a life changing experience.
Alright guys, headsup: in 24 hours, all video of Specter that's presently available will come down, while I make some last-minute alterations for the Director's Cut. (I won't spoil what's going to be changed but there will be a few)
So view while you can! At midnight tomorrow night, it all goes away until the director's cut is posted. Spread the word!
Okay guys, don't panic, all Specter-related content has just been taken down. The Director's Edition has been completed, counting down from 24 hours until it's posted. Stay tuned
Good news folks, the first segment of the Specter Director's Edition is up! I'll be updating the Specter Wiki throughout the day with the links, so bookmark this page:
I've scheduled the first voice-cast recording session at the end of this week (I've still got to write up a fresh script, a lot was changed from the original that I wrote and what wound up getting produced). It's going to be a while, probably measured in a time scale of months, before we see that.
oh, and a question, is the final voice version going to be in the 16:9 widescreen or 2.39:1 cinema aspect ratio? its currently 2.39:1 in a 4:3 video, so you get extra black lines and a smaller video(cause it has to much above and below the movie to squeeze it in) if you are watching on a widescreen monitor.
@batboy: I know, that windowboxing effect is irritating (I have a widescreen monitor too, so I know where you're coming from). I haven't quite decided how to tackle that particular aspect of things in the final version. My video editor is outputting it to a 720x480 image with the 2.35:1 movie in the center; that was how it was begun in 2006 and I never really even thought about changing it. I guess now would be the appropriate time, I'll see what I can figure out.
@homer: I believe Admiral Thornton's rank pips are yours, as was the inspiration for her uniform (I drew the texture myself but it was based on the STFC one you made).
