    Fantastic stardestroyer.
Are you still going to finish the assault transport?
Would love to see it completed.

^of course. An actual assault transport as well.

Can I commission a tutorial of how in the world you coalesce these wonders of detail? 8 )

What year or era do you place your new Imperial compensator (for you-know-what:devil:)? Before the Battle of Endor? Maybe after? She definitely looks like a slightly more elegant successor to the Executor/Super?

    Have any idea on names?

I'd also ask how you work so fast, but given that I know nothing about 3D modeling (and can't at this moment, since I have enough a hard time with Illustrator on my computer), I don't think I'd understand anyways.

Going by this latest update I'd recommend calling it "Spaceball 1" :D

    (Pssst, does it transform?)

would be cool to see you come up with a structure to hold those larger spheres. right now it looks like they are just sitting there

Don't tempt me. I'm going give this main character in a fan fic I'm working on some sort of heavy warship, and, assuming that Fractal Sponge even allows me to use him designs, I'm liable to give this character just the sick, twisted sense of humor necessary to give a ship such a name. He is to be based on Negan after all.

P.S. I'm guessing that your sig has something to do with our New Dear Emperor. It is hilarious.

Is this going to be like an Imperial Ural?

I can say, with confidence, if you ever want to spread your knowledge by doing a series of tutorials, I will pay $100 to $150 imperial credits without hesitation... I know you do this as a hobby, but Wow. Thanks for doing what you do. And keep us poor modelers in training in your dark Sith heart if you ever wish to set aside some time to make us apprentices. There COULD be more than the rule of two will allow in the case of wanting to create masterpieces like you crank out.

    Cheers!

It's paraphrasing a quote from somewhere, have to be honest though I can't for the life of me remember where the original one came from... But yes, in its altered form it does indeed refer to 'SCROTUS' :D

I might omit the forward sphere, and put it above and behind the main bridge structure. Or maybe forward and lower, just ahead of the rest of the island

I don't always follow these threads. But when I do it melts my brain.

Wow... this last post by fractalsponge is just awe inspiring... on that note.. is there a decent Star Destroyer model I can buy that is recommended by those here who know good Star Destroyer models? I want to use one as a reference object against some of my own models... it's a ruler that anybody would recognize instantly...

Cheers, and OMG... best thread I've ever subscribed to.

    Okay, two questions:

Are those turbolaser batteries that are arranged supposed to move on a track? It sort of looks like they are supposed to be?

Before I even ask if I can use her in a fan-fiction I'm working on, how many years before or after the Battle of Endor was she put into service?
  • fractalspongefractalsponge254 Posts: 1,088Member
    @JES
This is an Old Republic design. Refitted often, certainly, but originally in service pre-Clone Wars.

    The batteries don't move.

As usual the quality of your work is amazing.

Having said that, it might be refreshing to see some non SW work from you. Ever thought about branching out into B5 Earthforce ships?
