How are you producing those flat geometric plates? 2d vectors imported and extruded? Do you make them in one large sheet then trim them to match the plane shapes they cover?
merry christmas indeed. nothing but net. this thing is awesome. if i had one problem it would be the overuse of those round objects on the bottom fin. what are they? just details? maybe they are just sticking out too far i guess.

just watched 2010 today myself. not the biggest fan of those details around the engines in the back though.
