I would put the aft RCS to the edges...
This way they can only support sideway thrust... But not to the back...
Just put them on the edges so they cover both the side and the aft vector...

eh, just relised the poly counter Utilitiy is, gone. . . Only got this vp status thing that shows poly vert count so she sits at 258,411 and 187,077 respectivly. . counting bald klinks and a few shuttles.
I miss the poly counter because I could know the stats per object not total scene stats, boo

With max 9 its easy enough to boolean some new registries. In the future Ill more than likely include more than one registry for a ship.
Well max 9 adds that pro boolean and the additions from max8 EXP many additions to poly editing. IE I can move selections in ring or loop, when connecting edges I can pinch or shift them so no more connecting 20 times to get a offset edge etc. There are about some 30 other small changes that make life soo much easier than in max7. As well as the typical cutting crash I ran into frequently in max7. The Service Pack fixed the slect crash but the cut crash drove me just as nuts. SO far only crashes I have had are related to other apps fighting with max for memory or resources. Illustrator and Photoshop seem to run poorly on these newer chipsets and cpus. (core2duo and 680i) My older XP pc hasnt a issue with photoshop, granted the crash was when I had a 5000X7000 multi layered project open. But still >_> I think I justy need to spring for a pair of 1gig ddr2 sticks. Ugh lol just bought a 750gig hdd so excusing more for ram is ouch

Quick note on the ship, I am starting to silike the bridge ring thing, looks too bloody much like a wheel off a hotwheels toy with a massive whitewall issue. . . . so I might be yanking that off the ship in the next few updates. Dunno what I will replace it with but eh, maybe leave it flat with some greebly like things?

Tiz not turned faces its a missing edge allowing the polyface to pucker, I just forgot to connect up that last set of vents. I suppose I should get off my arse and set the lighting rig up and get proper materials on things. heh, rather model than do that though >_>
