I was going to take a break for the rest of the year, but things have been really, really dead at work, and I can only watch so many tutorials (and Westworld Youtube videos, and John Pinnette comedy routines).
For some reason the redish circles came out all jaggy.

And occasionally studying technologies that study back - or don't want to be studied. It would be a cross between prospecting, salvage, and occasionally diplomacy. The end research teams would have to work in linguistics, metallurgy, different types of physics, engineering, and biosciences, exohistory... who know what all?
I've lurked in this thread since you started it and think you have some awesome ideas and the originality of "astro-archeology" is very creative, to say the least. You're using solely AutoCAD, still?
I think the file was damaged. I tried copying the geometry into a new file and things got worse. It looked like paint thinner had been dripped on it.
BlueNeumann: Thanks. Only a few of the ships have backstories of any sort.
Schimpfy: Thanks. Yeah, still using AutoCAD. I played around with Fusion 360 for a (short) while. I may try again after they work on it some more. There are several things I don't like about it at present.

It looks sort of Delta Flyer-ish
I'm not sure how the wood-like appearance happened.
Thanks for commenting JES, and thank you Evil for being the only other person to comment on this thread of scribbles for the past ten months.

The model is looking good, I like the design a lot.

Has anyone heard anything about revitalizing SFM?
