No, I'm using a dome light setup, which will basically be the final lighting setup for the city. It doesnt take as long to render as it does with a sky light. It's hard to create an accurate version of the city (tower layout wise) considering the towers seem to move an appear and disappear from shot to shot.

Care to elaborate on the textures/shaders you're using for the windows? Did you paint them yourself or where did you get that texture from? I'd like to have some windows as appealing as yours on my bishop mesh and if you could give me some hints it would be much appreciated!

Ooooo. I love Atlantis all lit-up at night. Then again, I'm a nocturnal creature anyway. I love all cities (especially Vancouver) lit-up on my way home across the Lion's Gate Bridge.
Not that much in the line of updates. There's only one tower left to make for the centre of the city then i can get started on the larger piers. I thought I show these, even though Vilandra is killing me with his Atlantis lol :P
Well, Ive basically completed the central section. At this point in time, I will not be modelling the stardrive section, basically because i never use it. The central section is relatively detailed, and if my laptop will be able to handle it, I will add even further detail.
(dont worry, the smaller piers are still the basic shape, they still need to be modified)

Here we go, ive started adding the towers to the piers.
I'm glad that so far Ive managed too keep the poly count under 1,000,000. Currently it stands at around 750,000
I havent gotton around to the clay render just yet but here's a test I did a few days ago with the city under daylight conditions.
