Thanks man good to be back, I couldn't post for a long while because every time I came here my av would go crazy. Finally was able to get back on a few weeks ago.
Yeah, the forum was having some massive issues for a while. Redirects to other sites, pop up ads, that sort of nonsense. I had to stop coming here on my Kindle tablet because it doesn't have an ad blocker.
Anyway, I guess we're past all that now. Those engines look great.
Appreciated it evil_genius_180, still working on all of the ones I got back since my external HD crashed some months back. I'm not just sit on them this time. :thumb:
Finishing up the Warthog model, and did a little bit to the city this weekend, gotta get back to that soon too.
The best way to build a city in my opinion, is block by block, then building by building. Block by block, for the larger buildings (skyscrapers), because some of them take up an entire block, or multiple blocks, and then some you can fit two or three one a block. Then after you make and position so many of those, start on the smaller buildings, the ones you can fit several at a time on one block, apartment buildings, police station, firehouses, etc. Then get on the buildings that connect (e.g. that are built right on top of each other, with no alleyway between them) stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and so on. But before anything, you have to lay you idea out, make a 2D aerial map of how you want your streets and blocks to run. That's kind of how I messed up on this city earlier on, because I didn't do that step at first... :shiner:
Whoa... That's some amazing texturing work you've got there. What might be more amazing (for me) is seeing a project completed after four years of hiatus.
Nice. The one with yellow trim reminds me of those huge RV's. I'm sitting here humming "Holliday Road" to myself and thinking it needs some wood paneling along the sides.
Yeah I try to stick to modeling things that most people can relate to, and things that people can see everyday all around them.
Okay folks, the interiors to the two smaller ships are almost finished and I'm catching hell with the larger survey ship, so nothing to post there so far.

I hear you on the back troubles. I've been having issues lately with mine. The job I do is absolutely no help.
The first set is a remake of ugly yellow ship, and the second set is a city I've been working on for a while.
Wow, I really like that city. That's quite the undertaking, but it looks like you're handling it like a pro. The ship looks good too.

I agree. She's a beaut.
Installed some modular bunks, and shower/restrooms
Appreciate the comments and grits as always
And I haven't forgott Elowan, as soon as it's finished
OK folks, here's yet another cargo/mining ship that I decided to finish up.
