I'm working my way through the various Trek bridge chairs, generally working from Ent-A-era chairs forward. I'll be tossing in some originals along the way, though, pegged more or less into that time frame with a couple of notable exceptions. The exceptions will still be patterned after real-world chairs in the vein of actual Trek set pieces.

Ergoform Workseat (Star Trek V and beyond):

Completed. This has been released.

HÅG Capisco, original model (Star Trek V, Excelsior bridge):

Completed. This has been released.

TODO:
Canon:
Wise 8WD139LS (possibly a variant, Star Trek: Generations, Enterprise B)
Star Trek IV bridge chairs (reupholstered from original TMP chairs - yes, I have blueprints!)
HÅG H03 (Enterprise, NX-01 task chair)

Non-canon:
Eva Chair by Ora Ïto
Evolution Armchair by Ora Ïto (will be a variant based on that)
Seat from Model F wheelchair concept by Kwanjun Ryu
Altwork Station
Scoop Task Chair by Blu Dot
Daily Task Chair by Blu Dot

Non-canon, boat seats:
Wise 8WD1007-710 Captains Chair (with alterations)
Ozark Bass Seat
Deluxe Sport Flip-Up Seat (with alterations)
Norsap 1600 Art.No 8720
Todd Freeport Helm Seat (great alternate TOS seat)

Great work on these :) I thought the material was supposed to be just a cloth pattern for the upholstery?

Those both look great. Your materials are what really sell them.

Yeah, that material is just soe layered noise right now and needs some work. There's also some kind of a UV issue going on with the HÄG chair. ;)

    Those look pretty nice!
Although that 2nd looks really uncomfortable.

What software are you using for the rendering?

(And thanks for reminding me of work during my holiday  Also had to render bridge chairs )

They actually are shockingly comfortable! We had the newer version (the one currently being sold) at one of my recent jobs and they're fantastic - they're lucky I didn't try to sneak off with one.

These are incredible, and I'll be using at least two of them:

Great work. Nice to see you back. Do need photos of Picard Readyroom chair? I also own two of the TNG/VOY sickbay chairs if you need reference.

These type of chairs I frequently need to render for my job:

Really nice since it has the drawings with dimensions for almost every type they sell :)

Holy shit - they straight up built a Trek captain's chair. Yeah, I'll be building at least one of those.

TBH, I'm a little unlikely to do that era in the immediate future. I'm focused on TMP through pre-TNG (anything that would have blue Okudagrams pre-LCARS, basically), and at lease on collection of far-future stuff (think 50+ years post-Nemesis, likely even post-Picard but pre-Ent-J).

Near-final cloth texture (aside from color and fresnel/sheen tweaking):

That material will be ported over to the Ergoform Workseat as well as other items I do going forward.

Your fabric looks absolutely fantastic. Real enough to touch.

Thanks! Working on the seams right now, BTW (they're already in the correct place, just working on another layer to the displacement).

There are some issues with the control mesh for the subd stuff that I am aware of, FYI (sharp corners and flat faces due to the location of some seams). Those will be fixed soon enough. Also, remaining are the inset on the top of the base, a couple of bevels, and of course the levers for seat adjustment.

I've actually sat in the newer version of one of these and believe it or not, they are astonishingly comfortable. It's like sitting in a saddle (or think of one of those beach cruiser bikes).

    Thanks!

HÅG Capisco is effectively done and has been released:

I am aware of some segmentation in the base, but that is unlikely to be noticeable in typical usage.

I only noticed it after you mentioned it, so I'm sure it won't be an issue.

I'm sorry, that blue chair with the center ridge, just looks like a nut-crusher.

LOL, believe it or not, it's actually anything but. I worked for a while at a company that had a few and they're surprisingly comfortable. :)
