arr okay.
So how do you do curves. like one the einges?
I am intrested to know, as Paneling a Subd Meshes is a right pain in the ass, I have been working on my fighter wings for the last three days and still have not got it right.
I havent checked this thread in awhile. You have got ALOT of impressive models built since the last time I was here!!:thumb: Superb stuff man. Superb.
Two questions for you. Are you going to model more ships than are on your list if new designs make in into the show(probably in flashbacks) or more fan based ships like Hobbes' ship?
Second what was the Dara Mazu? Im racking my brain and cant remember that one.
I am planing to model all the ships from the series and also expand what is already there by adding more fan based ships like Hobbes's ( note to self must build something like that:D )
the Dara Mazu is the refinery ship here is a pic of it.
Can you do the fleet render with a background that makes your work standout. It looks really good but I would like to be able to see the ships against something other than a white/light gray background.
by the gods ice this is by far the best work i've seen from you yet and you're really fast on modeling these great ships maybe you could take a shot at hobbes destroyer or maybe even try building a battleship class ship
Hello:
This is simply amazing, the Fleet pic is specially great, I look forward to see it updated with your new model the Valkyrie :thumb:.
Since you made your own Battlestar, I wonder if you could modify it a bit and make a Columbia Class like Galactica, that can make your fleet even bigger and better .
Keep up the great work!!

I've got some 2d pngs done up by fellow pixel artists over at wolfs shipyards that you could use as guides if you want.
there's two versions, galactica type tns, and pegasus type tns.
by type, I mean the type of armor.
oh, and by the way, holy wow with the valkyrie.
are you gonna texture this one?
if not, once the new machine arrives(yes, I finally ordered it!!!!) I might be able to use bryce to add color to the mesh, it'll have to be a direct mesh surface re-color, since I cant texture to save my hide.
that reminds me, I better go see if my version of bryce is vista compatible, or, if I'm royally frakked.............
I have now started to add details to the main body and added the roll-bar:D
Comments are welcome:thumb:
@ Freak :- I know what you mean, I don't think there engine doors:D
@ XRaiderV1.7 :- thanks mate I'll let you know as soon as I have finished some of the other ships in the fleet:D
Sweet looking ship Rob, Just wondering to my self...I wonder how many Gun Turrents you could put on there without bring-ing more attention to it's self if faced with a newer enemy to face-off with..?
nice work! have you ever thought of modeling the sewage treatment ship from the last season of BSG? looks like you have most of the other models done. this is in maya isnt it?
If you don't have a clue how the under site looks like have a look here at Resinilluminati
There is a very detailed model and images from the under side.

Those TOS ships are looking great! About the Valkyrie, itAâs a nice start.
I was thinking it's about time I did a Fleet render of all the ships I have finished modeling and here it is.

here is a small update on the valkyire for you.
@ scbypwr :- here is a fleet render on a black background.
now that dose look better:D
@ Chiletrek :- my Battlestar is a MKII Columbia Class so it wouldn't be a problem to modify it in to the Galactica and I will at some point
@ aylaa12 :- I do have plans to make a battleship class ship in the future:D
@ XRaiderV1.7 :- Yes I am planing to make tns versions of the defender but again it is something that I'll get around to in the future:D
Is that flaps on the engines? As they make them look like hanger doors.
I have now started to add details to the main body and added the roll-bar:D
