This may have been brought up before, but the length of this thread is too intimidating for me so I'll ask it. Do you have plans to work on a First Order Star Destroyer from The Force Awakens.

It looks like a mix between the AT-AT and ED-209! I like it!

Exactly what I was about to say. Could be a corker this.

    Hmm.

I actually don't want anything put on top of the new walker. It looks bad@ss as it is, and besides, its bigger brother already has the big gun turret. This one looks to be more agile, and from the angles I can see, appears that the entire chassis above the waist, can spin. As if the entire top was a turret already. Which obviously would mean it has the ability to swivel and fire on a target at a speed that its larger sibling never could pull off. Or at least, not without turning the entire walker.

I was indeed planning on keeping the top clear. It's smaller (by a lot) compared to the AT-SE, so there's not necessarily power generation for a big gun, and I wanted to keep it looking sleek and fast.

The entire "body" is stabilized to +/- 5 degrees in XY, and can free-turn 360-degrees to point on. The guns are independently articulated, so the body acts basically as a turret that sits on the leg assembly and drive mechanism. Imagine if you mounted just the head of the AT-SE as the body of a walker, and you get a similar effect in terms of firepower and arrangement.

Yes, eventually. But nowhere near the top of my priority list.

Nice, brings to mind ED-209 as mentioned previously, but also brings back warm memories of the Walkers/Mechs from the Battlefield 2142 PC game.

I like how the details are developing, using typical design cues from other Imperial Walkers, but not afraid to bring some unique design flourishes in there too. I like the almost helicopter gunship cockpit arrangement with two staggered tandem viewports, I'm guessing for driver and gunner stations?

Also agree with not adding a big cannon to the top, the current config looks like a sleek but heavily armoured rapid deployment walker, built for speed but armoured enough to take a great deal of punishment, like an AT-ST on some serious steroids. How big is this compared to an AT-ST and AT-AT? Looks like it is aimed right at the 50/50 point between those two walker's size, making it the mutated child of both. Looking good.

    Hull cutter/airlock:
    str20.jpg

The walker is around 15m tall, so it's almost exactly between AT-ST (8.6m) and AT-AT (22.6m). The AT-SE is a little taller than an AT-AT, for point of comparison.

Fractal, that last walker image is downright intimidating. Seriously, you don't need to alter that chassis an inch, outside of the usual Greebles of Fractalsponge of +5 Awesomeness(Mastercraft). BTW, is it me, or did you set it up so that each of the main gun-mounts can be traversed vertically, independent of the other gun-mount? So one can be aiming at the ground, and the other shooting at an aerial target (or at least something up high). And then later have both gun-mounts move back to point at the same target?

About the only thing that it might possibly need is the 'wire cutter' bits on the front toe, like on the AT-ST's feet. Although considering how this is about a third larger, it might just be able to just squish any wire barriers from mass alone, that would stop/slow the lighter AT-ST.

I'd almost forgotten about Battlefield 2142. Thank you for buzzing my memories. Good times. Good times indeed. Even if it nearly cost me one or two course in college due to getting a little too involved in a string of matches.

I'm really liking the missile spamming, space mini-van from hell. I like it much better than the Delta escort shuttle which always reminded me of a dog dragging its butt across the floor. I wish you could have stretched that Crusader corvette lengthwise about 10-15% amidships. I think it would have helped with the proportions, but I understand you were keeping it close to the original depiction.

LOVE this take on it. And I much prefer it over those generic looking landing-boat/submarine things they used in TFA, too...

Hey, maybe you should think about including a Fractal Redesign of those transports in your ever-increasing To Do list :D

    It looks swift. =3

    "AT-SW - All-Terrain Storm Walker" or "AT-SAW - All-Terrain Storm Assault Walker" I would say.

I know I can count on you for the awesome walker names :)

I like At-Saw as the name too.

And it's just me being me, but I can totally picture this thing moving like a T-Rex. Though I was originally thinking a dog, and not like a sleek hound but a jumpy "throw the ball, throw the ball!" Dug The Dog type.

Bah. We all know you're the one that made the AT-ATs for the Rogue One trailer. Don't try to deny it. You finished the AT-AT weeks ago. Just admit it.

I'm curious on Fractal's take on the ISD models:

If the ANH 4 footer and the TESB 8 footer had a baby, that would be the result. :)

    Great work Fractal, as always!
