I haven't posted anything in a really long time, so created a new scene with my favorite Star Trek ship.

EDIT: Took the advice of Evil_Genius_180 and changed around the lighting. My first image I put way too much emphasis on the planet and nebula illuminating the ship and neglected the actual sunlight. I also thought I had a little too much blur on the ship, so I rendered out using the Mitchell filter this time and lowered the blur amount to bring out the detail more. Finally I lowered the nebula flare glow slightly to add a bit more contrast to the space around the image.

This project is so cool. I considered myself the biggest Wing Commander fan on the planet when I was younger. Played all the games 100 times over, collected all the rare merchandise, read all the novels, and am a Star Citizen backer because of Chris Roberts.

Hello everyone! Back from the dead with one of many new iRay renders. I figured I would start off with this one. I converted the X-Wing and R2-D2 to 3dsmax and added iRay materials. X-Wings rendered in 16 seconds, then added the background in After Effects. Did a minor color correction on the X-Wings. Boosted the shadows a mids just a touch and added a slight purple tint.

iRay renders of IRML's fantastic 1701-E lounge model. I changed all materials to Arch& Design and iRay.

Such a beautiful render! With only one light I'm going to guess HDRI?

Just finished this up today. A special thanks to TALON_UK, and Wiz for sharing some tips with the floor materials in his threads. Hopefully I did ok.

This version of the hangar uses modeled floor panels. 15 minute iRay render. I added some minor color correction in post, nothing more. One of my computer monitors looks more color saturated than the other (my primary), so I didn't want to adjust it any further with fear of ruining the image.

You don't see many people attempt these anymore. The few that were made were created almost ten years ago it seems.

Nice to see some HQ Borg models! I can't decide what I like more, the HQ movie style cube or the HQ TNG. They both have their appeal. Great work!
