It's a party? Here I was thinking it was more like a wake around here.
"Envy"? That's a new (and much appreciated) one. Thank you.
Okay, "I just woke up" how's that?
For your long thin ships, all you need to do is the A word... No, I meant Animation... Simple flyby with the camera following/panning... I say that assuming these stills take less than three weeks to render...
AutoCAD seems to have improved on the flyby options a bit since I last looked. It would be nice to find some tips and tricks that actually explain things, though.
These are a joy to behold. What version of Autocad are you using? I'll research whether there is a middle format you can export to and I can do some slightly better renders, though nowhere near the quality you get on this site from.. you know.. the arty folk.
edit: here, see if you can do this:
Solution:
The newly recommended format for exporting 3D data is FBX.
The command to export to FBX is FBXEXPORT.
I've been using AutoCAD 2019, which, oddly they've removed FBX import/export from. I still have 2018 (which has FBX import/export, but has other major bugs they never fixed) loaded.
Sorry, been a mad week. I was supposed to be uploading a Youtube video every day this week, instead I went out every night. Harrumph... I think the latest one is quirky (but then everything you have is!)
If you're not happy as a capital ship, what about rescaling some of the detail and making it a work-bee or shuttle for some similarish ships in your fleets?
A couple of months back I fiddled around with the flyby export options in AutoCAD. (I managed to find a software bug that the good people at Autodesk are still puzzling over.) Anyway, I managed to edit some snippets of video together.
Another circular one. Bad planning. Well,it would be if any of this were planned.

Please excuse how crappy the video is.

Maybe I should have called this "Cnidaria" or something...
I don't like the spokes, so they're going to go.

Uh, never mind. I just noticed the geometry was corrupt.
Maybe now.
