OH WOW!
And I thought the UVWs for the main hull of my battle carrier were driving me crazy and I only have about 10 pieces. Though this is the first time I've played with the UVW unwrap. Now I'm trying out the textools plugin that was recommended to me.
Yes i believe they used old Royal Air Force Ejector Seats for the rear ones. I think they went to lots of scrap yards especially military ones to get bits and bobs for the interior.
Glad you got the UV's done, now lets see some of that texturing. I see Paul (Wiz) has used your model in a render, did he do his own texturing then.
Well he did a great job, although i suppose its limited in the angles he can render if it was just shaders. So i take it it loads fine in Max. I hope it will convert fine into LightWave.
The red could be slightly darker or less saturated but once its chipped, streaked a bit and such it will look allot better. Could also be my screen as well. Are you using PS for texturing. Got to wonder what using Quixel or SP would do for it.
Looking great, Chris. I also think the red will look a lot better once it's weathered. I think that's the thing here, it's too pristine, and nothing on the Falcon was pristine.

yes, agree ... it'll looks much better when weathered

thanks
when I'm done I have to reorganize the UVs. A good friend of mine who is working at a big Studio gave me some tips to improve the UVs.
So not too long and I can start texturing which will be the next challenge!
It's possibly the very definition of insanity.

long time no post ...
... worked on the Cockpit parts again. I'm done with the Pilot Seat.
I have used reference material made by Joshua Maruska.

There will be some better textures with more dirt and a less shiny food ... but that comes later. I'm quiet happy with it now.
Hope you like it
more soon
PS: I'm still working in the UVs. Its a real pain in the but to get working UVs for all the tiny details.
Still don't envy you those UV's
yes, working on the NavSeats right now. Never known that they are that detailed
I'll have something to show soon

no, he didn't made any textures. Its just a simple shader and a paintover in Photoshop.
He was just testing for me if the model loads fine into 3DS MAX.
it will I'm sure
started with textures and I'm done with top side colour marks.
I'm not happy with the red colour yet ... needs some adjustments.

The red does jump out to much. Maybe a little desaturation would help it.
yes the red need some work. I'll work on it when I'm done with the bottom marks
