This is a new render of my battlecruiser. And if you ask why this name,is the honor of my grandmother which died 4 weeks ago of a second CVA.
The bb201 render is also myne with the greeblepack from Jedilaw, Wayne Jones.
UVs are the best for the detail work. Regular materials for the non detail.
Basically, your model has a good basis to work from. Try using face select, then smoothing, on some of the faces. its a trick to get rid of hard edges.
For the window for the bridge, assign those faces a whitish material, then increase the emit value. On a black background, with a starfield, it will show you the look for a In Space Pic.
To get a spacey background, click the material button, then world, change horizon to black. Then click on stars.
setting a lamp where you would want the sun, makes it a realistic still pic. The best advice, is to download a blender model, from here, and see how some experianced modelers, go at it. Great help for textures, lighting, and general techniques. If you need help on trivial stuff, PM me. Am involved with making tracking turrets now, lol
