"Ppyojoghan Mulgeon" which seems to be "the price of onion" in Bangla.

I used to come up with a name, then let early versions of Google Translate take a hatchet to it, with random languages, until I got something I liked. I am fairly confident the name I started out with wasn't anything about onions though.

Checking elsewhere on the Internets It's coming up as "pointed stick thing" in Korean. That's probably better.

The Price of Onion certainly seems like a ship with an interesting origin story, but Svanur works well too :)

It sounds like the moral of a folk tale: "For the Price of an Onion was the Kingdom lost."

    (Aerial views courtesy of Google Earth, and a certain "happiest place on Earth"}

I see this existing in the PASSENGERS universe…the most elaborate artificial gravity station that could actually work. Or something a post-Burn civilization would make.

I pictured it as one of many vanity projects from a culture advanced enough to make whimsical organic designs work.

The perspective went a little odd with the back view image.

Redoing and renaming another older ship. It's "Svanur" now. Google Translate thinks the old name has something to do with onions, which I don't understand at all.

    I love that!
The pattern on the wings needs to be to either side of the Federation Alaska class deflector BTW.
  • rojrenrojren1286 Louisville, Kentucky USAPosts: 1,734Member
I looked up pictures of 'Alaska Class'. Do you mean the rounded triangles?

As is, the hexes in groups of three are bays for ship-to-ship mini-torps. The ones in pairs are chaff launchers.

I've been fooling with bunches of small changes to the beam weapons, but I still hate them.

I think this end looks good enough.
I'm thinking of adding some really big windows to the front.

I've tried a few shapes on the windows. This looks best so far. Still not sure, though.

Someone on Facebook just asked which end is the front. Is it that hard to tell? I mean, I have done a couple of ships where that might be difficult to tell, but this looks pretty straightforward to me.

I spent about two days trying to figure why the light inside the drum was incredibly bright, and the wrong color. Somehow some of the lighting was increased by 'X to the 15th power' units. Go figure.
