@spacefighter - If I recall the TNG tech manual indicated that the Galaxy class carried the sum total of human knowledge so most likely it was storage rather than processing. Given that, they are a bit big but at least all of facebook would be on there....
Rather large render to show some progress. Can't even remember which deck this is but corridor all the way from shuttle bay to central core has now been laid out.
I like your shuttle design also. Everything is looking great. You're doing way more interior work than most of us can be bothered to do when we build ships.
Sadly the interior has developed due to OCD. I need to know why things are there. No good putting a window between decks or an airlock where it won't work
I usually just plan out my decks at a realistic height and add windows accordingly. Though, that's by no means a foolproof method. One thing I hate about making "canon" ships is putting windows where they were on the original model and knowing that they won't work.
Lower quality render while I test out the core lights. Also worth noting the upper deck is a 'real' light and the lower a texture. I'll be losing the texture lights as I go. interiors001.jpg
Got a bit fed up with this so took a break and have decided to work on the exterior for a bit. First thing to do will be to rebuild the internal parts of the nacelles but before I begin here's where i currently stand......
I think I've pretty much finished the upper hull windows now. Need to refine the mesh around some of the windows to get rid of some smoothing errors though.

Bridge
Command staff quarters
Science labs (some placeholders you've already seen)
Warp core & Main Engineering
"Six Forward" (I think it's deck six anyway)
Shuttle and maintenance bays.
Computer core
Medical
and whatever else I think of.
All the window boxes will get some sort of low poly interior.
Currently I've realised I need to redo the turbolift network as so bits could be in a better place.
Suggestions for additional rooms welcome of course.........

And tonight some work on the shuttle bay.

I gotta admit, though, that I'm not really a fan of that core design. It sure looks different, but... Meh. I dunno
