A sample to show what you can do using reel video footage

Great work, especially since there's a lot that can go wrong in a day-to-night shot.

BTW: I finally remembered where I know that place from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B36Lr0Unp4

Thanks and yes, that's the right place :)

Awesome job mylex! Good reminder for myself what can be done simply with footage instead of recreating the wheel. Where do you get your footage from?

Thanks, the footage in this case was taken from the "planet earth" documentation

Aside from the overall outstanding quality and realism, what I really like about your version of the TMP drydock sequence is seeing the spacedock shuttle and ST:V shuttle in there, just as they would've been if they'd been designed (in real life) at the time. It makes the Trek universe feel that much more broad and real.

Thank god, you are back! I think I see a few new bits and pieces there at the end. Looking forward to the rest!

Are you working on any new Star Trek projects? Is the Star Trek V work finished? Best Wishes

After a few years off, i'm back again. I will continue the new VFX project for Star Trek V that I have started. Here are some scenes that I completed back in 2012. I hope to finish the rest in the next few months

    Have fun
