That ship is great. It really looks like it would fit in the era. The nacelle domes look a bit too red for me, given the era I would think they would more like the two pilots. But even as is she's a beaut.

EDIT: The drydock is great too!

I wanted something a little bit more 'alive' than the traditional pilot bussards. And Federation vessels of the era tend to be modular in design so having something different makes sense.

Upgraded to be modular. Still need to create the pieces for the cargo container.

nice design for your floodlight arrays.

So I changed it once again to bring close to a mixture of the Phase II concept drydock and the TMP drydock. The space complex on top uses features from the Phase II concept orbital complex as well as a nod to K7 features. The two cylinders on the side are shuttlepod/shuttlecraft/workbee hanger bays. The cargo containers are hidden at the moment.

Don't know about the pictures (all I'm seeing is photobucket placement adverts), but the video "Sampson Hi Def Planet Test 003" is impressive. It reminds me of the Atlom's Chariot-class, as modelled & rendered by Howard Day. VERY NICE.

Looks like the monthly bandwidth was exceeded again. Time to switch to second account. Introducing the Zhemchug, the Striker, and the Buggy. Information to come later.

So sad news. This will be my last submission (3D model-wise) for an unspecified amount of time. I'm burnt out and I have other things to focus on, including building on the story of the Guard and eventually the story of the Stovas crew. I also need to reorganize my entire Deviantart gallery as well as my real life work. Not to mention my Eve of Darkness novel I need to rewrite (created 2007).

    Zhemchug-class (GSV - 006)
Striker-class (class name pending change) (GSV - 0031)

To create the Guard uniforms, I need to first start with the USS Renegade's uniform, as the Renegade uniform would reflect a later version of the Guard uniform. It is a three piece uniform with a black undershirt, department-specific tunic, and black pants. Tried to keep it close to the TOS uniform but different. Also the uniforms worn by Commander Straker and Col. Freeman inspired the collar.

This a very rough first sketch.

    Original Male base by unknown

Made some progress and refinements. Not entirely sure about the dress uniforms at the moment but it is a work in progress.

The revealed cover for the first novel, STAR TREK GUARD: DARKNESS.
So begins the first chapter in the Renegade story...

    STARDATE 2248.03.04
An intercepted transmission by the starship Sampson prompts the GuardA’s commanders to send an operative to investigate, only to find an echo from EarthA’s past has risen from the grave.

After a manA’s home colony of Tabula Rasa is attacked and destroyed by an unknown enemy, he will seek out vengeance, only to find a threat that will force him to ally with the one organization he wants nothing to do with, the Federation.

The mercenaries of the Stovas finish up a job at colony Blackmore, only to find themselves set up and left for dead by a mysterious contractor.

And at the center of it all, a myth might have some truth after all...

As for the uniforms, I'm thinking no female variant. Kind of going for the idea of a unified organization, to build more upon the idea of no discrimination between the sexes, which Star Trek seemed to be lacking, although they did get it right some time after TNG's 2nd or 3rd season. Might be a skirt option for the formal dress though.

Made me some desktop wallpapers. Unfortunately the blue didn't come out too well.

Part of learning to rig using bones, dummies, and IK chains. Still need to look at second tutorial for organic rigging and using constraints, to make movement more fluid and organic.

An idea for an Orange Star Tank used before the first Advance Wars game, back when Olaf and Grit were still apart of Orange Star.

may i ask why you've switched to doing cartoon style stuff all of a sudden, no offence intended.

A model I built and designed for Prelude to Axanar. Tobias did the textures and tweaked the model a bit.

that looks great. the lighting is nice and the textures excellent, the modelled detail is nice and the concept(the top plate utterly flush with the hull with some armour on it to prevent damage before ejection) sensible. does it have an interior?

    KLINGON EMPIRE:
So I decided to scrap the Predator in favor of a smaller ship that would be produced in mass numbers (after all the story takes place near/after the end of the Federation-Klingon War). Wanted it to be a hybrid of the D7 with components of the BOP. Not entirely sure about putting BOP guns on the front. And yes it's smaller than the BOP (B'rel) but still larger than the 'hero ship' Stovas. Little backstory: commanded by Klingon crews stripped of their ranks who seek to reclaim their lost honor.

I hope to god the Bing translator translated Honor in Death correctly and it doesn't actually say 'your mother is a orange targ'. :D

    KlingonHonorinDeath013a_zps44ef9216.png

As always no suggestions unless I ask for them. THANK YOU. :D

nice space suit in previous post.
the klingon vessel looks nice but it would be good to see more angles placing it against that background has given a rather effective image.
by the way, does bing translate to klingon now? ( i assume that name you are worried about is in klingon). for a laugh try translating the new text back to english, that certainly gets interesting between modern languages when hydraulic ram becomes aquatic male sheep.

Slowly getting back into modeling after a 6 month hiatus. Made some slight adjustments, including shortening the wings and pushing the cockpit forward a tad.

Started measuring and cutting the pieces. Have to wait until the side piece is done before I can start the others. All I can do for one day.

Hey, when you're done with yours, you can build me one. ;)

Seriously, that's a nice space saver desk/bookcase design. :) I like your ships too.

    Yup and thanks.
I also had an idea for another Doctor Who related model, one I think is pretty funny. Something to keep me busy until I can replace my table saw blade.
