Hi there!

You know, it's been 6 months since the big forum migration, so we'd really appreciate it, if you could take a moment to let us know how we're doing in our occasional feedback thread. :)

That's really cool :thumb: If it's the alternative-universe ship then you should add more weapons, torpedo launchers and a big decal for the saucer (the same which NX had)

Keep calm, the ship isn't finished yet.
    Still, agreed on these details.

I do plan on making a version for the normal universe too so I don't plan on doing anything that would result in haveing two models made. I just want to swap out the decals.
I do plan on haveing a nice big decal on the saucer like the NX-01 had not to mention the yellow decals.

    UPDATE...
Redid the textures on the warp engine. They're a higher resolution and look much better as far as I'm concerned.

Nice! I like those exhaust valves on the neck/pylon, especially with the added dirt! (or whatever they are :))
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute436 Posts: 1,550Member
Thank you. i'm kind of proud of the dirt around the vents.
    UPDATE...
I've finished the textures for the warp engine, the neck and the impulse engine. I also made a minor change to the deflector housing.

Any chance you could let that poor bastard on the nacelle - just behind the neck - back inside now?

    A very nice design!

Big ups on the deflector housing/mounting spar. Dishes hung down on flimsy stalks were a weak point (visually and probably in terms of dynamics) of the Franz Joseph designs.

I thought, before I start on the new saucer I'd take a look at what the next ship could look like.
This ship is the U.S.S. Swiften.
Under the ship I included the new type 2 warp engine. I decided to add reaction control thrusters.

Ignore the civil war title. It was a mistake. :p

    Here is another ship.
The U.S.S. Archer. Many of the shapes are temp.

    UPDATE...
I started to add a few things to the saucer. I've added some nav lights. reaction control thrusters and whatever those three window like things are at the front of the saucer.

    UPDATE...
Well I thought I might as well get back to work.
I've started on textures for the bridge, I still need to add a little dirt. Those two holes below the bridge are torpedoe launchers.

After seeing the new Enterprise I thought I'd make a few changes to the Nav Deflector. I have two options and I haven't decided witch one I like more.

I like option 2 for the new dish.

I'd also vote for option 2 on the deflector.

I like your alternate designs at the top of the page, as well.

The purple stuff will become the lower nav lights.

    UPDATE...
Added windows to the B and C deck and phasers. On the back of the B and C deck is the Captains personal quarters/bachanal/harem room.

I also have two pics of what could turn out to be a shuttle.

I LOVE the USS Swiften, the two-nacelles w/ saucer! LOVE IT! I'd love to see a 22nd century version of this ship! Love the profile!
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute436 Posts: 1,550Member
    Thank you.

And because the power of J.J. compels me I felt like doing a Kelvin version of the ship. Right now the shapes are just temp to see if it would work.

at first I didn't like the Kelvin but it is growing on me, keep up the good work.
  • TrekologistTrekologist0 Posts: 0Member
yes the kelvin definitely has an interesting hull profile, nice work! a suggestion, I would make the hull connector to the deflector pod thinner. either way keep up the good work!
  • XFozzbouteXFozzboute436 Posts: 1,550Member
Like I said before. The shape is just temp. I plan on making it thinner.

Also looking foward to seeing this design evolve.

Are you planning on keeping the traditional phaser banks, or use the turret like phasers seen in the promotional pics?
