I think I can finish... its a bit slow going though. I can only work on organic stuff on my laptop. The desktop seems to crash when doing this kind of work.
Knowing you, youd make each scale unique and different and throw a poly limit right out the window !
Very nice organic, you and WINGS never cease to amaze me.
Hmmm... I could make a single scale and then use put on to manually put about a hundred or more on the model.... *trails of muttering...*
thanx guys!
Anyway... Im gonna leave the dragon for a little while until Im on the laptop again.
Until then, I opened up this ol' thing tweaked it a bit to see if I could make it look better. While I was at it I put a new turret on. (background courtesy of Backstept)
Thanx! All credit for the background goes to Backstept though. I simply mirrored it so it would wrap around the environment. I like the effect it has on the lighting.
No... the polycount isn't that bad yet, I don't even think its past 100,000 yet. The long render was likely due to the unbiased render method, some high settings, and the fact that I was doing other things on the computer while it was working.

This is a little something I started... Its gonna end up being a dragon (hopefully) just need to model some wings... in wings...
I think this is my 3rd attempt at an organic model... thoughts?
textures.... .... ..... .....
little details... I like the sound of that better... but how does one greeble a dragon?
Well okay, you just need to put a lot greeble on him!
Thats really challenging... organic greebling, it never seems to look right.
Thanx!

I saved some renderings for future inspiration.;)
They are pending
Thanx guys!
Another angle...

Here is the beginnings on the interiors...
And this was a fun little 15 hour render. Was trying to make it look like a physical build.

Hmmm...
found this ship lurking around on my laptop's HD, so I brought it over to my desktop and did some updates. (oldest to newest)
Its supposed to be a small patrol/scout ship. Limited weaponry, good engines.
Thats a good idea... this might be interesting with a couple big turrets on it.
Thanx!
I your going to put a big turret on there might I Suggest placing it just be hind the cockpit canopyjust an idea.
