]My suggestion is to remove the first two rail guns...and the two outer (smaller ones) just to make it a bit lighter..
You could place some of your flak canons on her instead...
defnitley has potential to develop into a useful BSG support ship..

the second attempt look better, but woukd remove the guns form the side, their size is all wrong. you have to remeber that the guns you have on that ship are manned. well the one's on BSG are.
I thought I spotted the landing bay earlier! Will the viper tubes be located on sides of the main body? (the diagonal part) If so the only thing I'd advise is to rearrange the flak cannons - four in a line maybe which could protect the vipers during launch?
I really like the plating effect on the head - it could be interesting if you do more across the ship?

I tried to add viper launch tubes in to the side of the landing bay but as this ship is only the size of the Galactica's landing bay it looked very odd, so I have decided that It will not viper's on bored.

Hi guy's, I thought I would have a go at the botanical cruiser.
After searching the Internet for some decent pictures of this ship I still haven't found any that really show the ship well but I'm having a go anyway.

weapon wise could try this ....
Remove single cannons from the top front and instead you have a 'head' section. the head section could contain side flak and 2-4 front flak cannons..
Instead of just two rail guns at the back I think you have space for another 2(sort of like the Galctica has 4 guns situated next to each other..
Underneath I'd go for 2 two full rail guns right at the front of the ship - pointing forward and to keep the underneath back just as it is.

OK been playing around with the weapon loadout of the ship as suggested and now I'm happy with it so here are some renders for you to see.

I can imagine a few launch tubes on this one! bout 3 on each side would appropriaete - is that a landing bay I see?

The Paneling is now 80% compleat and have placed the main guns.
just need to redo the ribs around the guns so the ribs are not tuching them.
