Here is the start of the Panelling.
As this is the Battlestar Athena dose anyone have any suggestions on how I can make her look slightly different from the Battlestar Galactica?
Thanks yoda, if I have some time over the weekend I wont to redo the inside of the hanger bays to make them look right, o and carry of with the panelling ( the rest will look like Galactica in till I have added the guns and then I'll redo some of it to make it look slightly different )
Some really good work here. ONe thing I do like about the new Galactica is the "built in sections" look she has, like the Daedalus Class in Trek. I think you've emphesised that really well here. Was that the intention? (I don't mean to make her look like a Daedalus).

I wasn't aware that I was / or that it did but thanks for pointing that out to me .

The panels on the flight pods are done ( I've used the front panels of the flight pod on the back aswell.)
Here is some thing I was playing with to day.
I would like your comments on it.
Not user if the other thing is a ship or a weapons pod with engines. but it looks intresting.

As for the other thing it was meant to be a ship but it just didn't come out right. working on a rebuild of that.

OK so that ship was not very good:( but have done a quick rebuild and reduced the size and here it is.

Well as she stands at this moment in time ( come on get on with it ) The poly count is ( yes, yes ) 28,536 Polys.

That's how the new Galactica looks to me. It's the latteral grid type... thing. But then that could be a sort of Hyperlight engine grid.

and a very nice concept although the first one looks like it could very well blow up half the galaxy with its trio of forward arrays :flippy:
My suggestion is to remove the first two rail guns...and the two outer (smaller ones) just to make it a bit lighter..
You could place some of your flak canons on her instead...
defnitley has potential to develop into a useful BSG support ship..
