Waste reclamation was also frequently referenced as a punishment duty on DS9. You've gotta figure, an old Cardie station with thousands of residents and visitors has got to be the recipe for a lot of poo.
If Lt. Lara was so interested in intimate humanoid coupling, perhaps she should check the human database on relationships? There are many topics that cover everything from the erotic to the exotic. Including speculative written works on Reddit!

But there's anecdotal research and field research, and what better way to do it than when the field is in a little ship?
Hey some action for the Orions!
Your Nebula Background is looking astonishing. But why can I see the Stars through the ship in the first panel? Do they have a cloaking device. Did they mention it? Sorry if I overlooked it.

No photoshop screwed up the layers apparently and I missed it when I was putting the page together. I added the nebula gasses in front after the fact and I must've grabbed part of the star layer or it reordered it. I've swapped over to gimp now so I might just have to redo that panel again
That and I've been toying with tons of ways to do nebulas and starfields in both Blender and Gimp and photoshop and at this point I can't even tell you which one I used for that one.
It's good to hear you've switched to GIMP. It's great software, I've been using it for many, many years. I do all of my comp work and parts of my texture work in it.
I do like that nebula. Though, I didn't notice the thing with the stars in the first panel when I read it, I only saw it when I looked again after wibble pointed it out.
Mawk is absolutely correct. You really do need to maintain strict ethical standards when doing clinical research on sentient lifeforms. Especially when those lifeforms are co-workers and colleagues.
Really liked to see Mawk is back.
Do they actually understand it or is it just making noise and they are hearing what they want to hear?
Would be kind of funny and sad at the same time, if Mawk is like "where the fuck am I, who are you and what do you want from me?" And they are so wrapped up in there own thoughts that they think it's actually talking about there problems.

He may be slimy and green, but he's got his head in the right place ethically.

I honestly haven't decided if it's like Groot or not. Mawk was introduced as part of a gag for a monthly contest and I decided to keep him around. Maybe if this was animated he'd be like Chopper from Rebels where the groans and etc sound like talking but you're not entirely sure if that's what he said or not?

Kyle Broflovski: Wait, wait. I think I can explain this whole thing. Marklar, these Marklars want to change your Marklar. They don't want this Marklar or any of his Marklars to live here because it's bad for their Marklar. They use Marklar to try and force Marklars to believe their Marklar. If you let them stay here, they will build Marklars and Marklars. They will take all of your Marklars and replace them with Marklars. These Marklars have no good Marklars to live on Marklars so they must come here to Marklar. Please, let these Marklars stay where they can grow and prosper without any Marklars, Marklars or Marklars.

If Lower Decks has taught me anything, it's that the crappy jobs still exist in some form or another

Trying to remember if I wrote this part of the comic before or after Strange New Hairdo's
But indeed. The man is irresistible.
