No photoshop screwed up the layers apparently and I missed it when I was putting the page together. I added the nebula gasses in front after the fact and I must've grabbed part of the star layer or it reordered it. I've swapped over to gimp now so I might just have to redo that panel again
That and I've been toying with tons of ways to do nebulas and starfields in both Blender and Gimp and photoshop and at this point I can't even tell you which one I used for that one.
It's good to hear you've switched to GIMP. It's great software, I've been using it for many, many years. I do all of my comp work and parts of my texture work in it.
I do like that nebula. Though, I didn't notice the thing with the stars in the first panel when I read it, I only saw it when I looked again after wibble pointed it out.
Mawk is absolutely correct. You really do need to maintain strict ethical standards when doing clinical research on sentient lifeforms. Especially when those lifeforms are co-workers and colleagues.

Would be kind of funny and sad at the same time, if Mawk is like "where the fuck am I, who are you and what do you want from me?" And they are so wrapped up in there own thoughts that they think it's actually talking about there problems.

I honestly haven't decided if it's like Groot or not. Mawk was introduced as part of a gag for a monthly contest and I decided to keep him around. Maybe if this was animated he'd be like Chopper from Rebels where the groans and etc sound like talking but you're not entirely sure if that's what he said or not?

Yep, loving the backstory. Also, I really like how you did Avril's quarters. Just by what I can see in the room, I can tell she plays guitar and she loves excellent 20th century cinema. That's a relief, given how many people in the 23rd/24th century seem to ignore 20th century literature and arts. You have to figure more people would like the classics from that century, but it rarely pops up. Also, knowing that movie, it's fitting to have that poster and the UFP banner on the wall, given that Klaatu was a from a galactic civilization similar to the UFP. And, it never hurts to have that callback to that movie, which was directed by Robert Wise, who also directed TMP. So, I love the layers of depth you showed when including that poster. And, she has a bat'leth, possibly a trophy won in battle. Very nicely done. I also like the Starfleet T-shirts.
