  • SeaQuest DSV 3D Internal Deck Layout

By the way, I got this one from an episode, a deck-count. Looks like it got a total of 7 decks.

The railing reminds me to the bridge of the movie submarine Red October. The central command area of the beridge was recessed about two steps below the rest of the bridge and had railings all around (except of course the steps). It's a great idea to give a level of separation between "workstation" and "thinkstation", but beyond that, it's of little use other than for people to bang their heads instead of falling on the captains lap whent he ships gets haken up.

    Low-quality 720 he says......

    DAYUM THAT'S sum QUALITY!
I mean if ever ships interiors were designed, I hope they take your work as textbook ideas (with due and proper credit of course!) because wow.

Peculiar, I always assumed it to be much bigger.

They probably tried to keep the look of Voyager's bridge consistent due to the lack of Starfleet facilities where the ship could have conceivably gotten refits. All of the other shows (except for Enterprise for much of its run) featured such facilities.
Which would be reasonable.... Any modification that can be done by the crew on their own is doable. Anything that would need extensive rehauls, overworks, or refits done in a yard, is a no-go.

Sad to hear you abandoned that Probert-bridge, but I can understand, given the situation and feelings this may have caused. Let's see, where Mr. Baker goes with it.

Nice looking bridge, though I don't recall anymore, what the Courageous-bridge was... xD You post so many great designs, it's hard to keep track.

  • Immense Class Starbase WIP - Revisit

Yes, the similarities are there. But doing outwards is a logical step. Assuming you cannot built upwards or downwards (which, with the Ournall-class would be a hassle), building sideways extending booms is feasible.
But nonetheless, the inspiration is visible.

The level of detail is, as usual, absolutely stunning.
