  • Stage 9 Corridors (Generations Lighting) + A Creative Challenge for LCARS Designers

We only have a small few examples of those corridor displays being used in the show - so I would take inspiration from those.

Oh wow! - You've just more than doubled my archive of pics of this one. Many thanks for sharing.

I found the photos years ago, and I tend to hoard interesting things I find. The exterior hull markings are not consistent with the studio model or the re-painted Generations version, but it is the closest canonical representation of that main shuttle facility.

Deckplans have always suggested there were more extensive medical facilities and wards on board, which we never saw because of the budget constraints, and the feasibility of building such sets.

So it would be nice to see a Medical ships' surgical rooms, recovery areas, testing labs, intensive care, routine wards, as well as the mental health facilities.

I've always been confused as to why the dilithium crystal chamber was separate from the intermix chamber. I guess it was a pre-Okuda/Sternbach set choice.

Probably to remind people of the horizontal engine region on the original TOS set. AFAIU the Phase 2 set, only had the vertical core.

Would be nice to see your take one what came after the Sovereign class style interior design. Bridging that gap between Nemesis and Picard

Also, here's a little test of something I did using Blender's Freestyle tool. A long way to go to make it look properly cel shaded, but you know I'll be doing it sooner or later. ;)

So Star Trek Lower Decks version of Enterprise D and E interiors huh... 😁

  • Lewis' Galaxy Class

I posted the images more as a geometry reference, than texturing and decals. Generations saw the whole ship get a more detailed paint job, but the earlier images were during the TV series. The bluey grey with green "aztecs" is the same colour scheme from the original model, but the registry number and Enterprise text is a departure from the model's paintjob

@Rekkert I didn't have anything specific in mind. The Enterprise D had a few older blue and green panels, and with it being an Excelsior Class ship - I imagine there may be some integrated hang overs, from their earlier days that could not be easily removed or replaced.

"Now onto the LCARS, which given the amount of screens here might be the biggest challenge of this room..."
@Rekkert I think no one would mind if a couple of the panels were in a standby mode, or running a cycle of something so are not in their active busy state :D

Enterprise E had it's own one.
