The Bussard Effect are very good.
Have you a Tip for me ? How did you do that?
Hi trekki,
I believe you are also a C4D user, so here is a C4D r11 file with the bussard effect in it. The bussard effect is accomplished using 13 lights per bussard for the orange effect and 12 multi-colored lights for the blinking part. It is all controlled through an expresso tag using C.O.F.F.E.E. for the calculations part. The base calculations were obtained through the C4DCafe site when I needed help with my Jupiter 2 lights.
Feel free to use this stuff any way you would like and have fun!
Hi Al,
many thanks for the file. I'll be watching the same.
Yes I am also working with C4d, you sent me ever an object.
THANK YOU!
You're working pretty good. I'm waiting for more ...
regards
With this update, I have a video showing the bussard effect using motion blur. Also, I have completed the major modeling portion of the nacelles. Still have the pylons to do and some small things elsewhere, then the modelling on the exterior will be done. After than, then the visible interior parts and texturing.
Today, I really need your expert opinions. I played around with adding a texture to the top of the saucer and was wondering about the grey color and panel lines. Is it the right shade of grey and are the panel lines too dark, too light, just right? Haven't done any weathering or anything like that yet. Actually, I am remodeling the saucer section as it turns out each quarter of the saucer has only 7 segments where I thought it was 8. And since I run my panel lines down a line of the mesh to make sure it is accurate, it meant rebuilding time. This was the easiest way for me and it allows me to make some improvements and changes.
Chris, I like what Prologic 9 has done with his Enterprise. It looks much more white like it did on TV, but have been led to believe it was actually a grey color.
How does this version look folks? Went with lighter panel lines to try and match the type that were drawn in pencil on the 11 foot model.

Personally, I think they look nice there.
I really like the one WIP image from Prologic9 of his ULTIMATE TOS Enterprise:
I wonder if he finished it... he's one of those modelers that often blow me away.
