For reasons that I'm not sure are public yet, so I won't disclose (for now, let's just say it's something pretty awesome :D), I have decided to finish my Siegfried-Class.

    Fan film?

Not a fan of aft facing deflectors, but the model and textures look great. Interesting design.

    Thanks! :)

@Vortex5972: I'm not a fan of the aft deflectors either, but I've decided to stick to Masao's design and add it there. Besides it does serves one purpose: it makes the ship looks more different, which is always welcome when working with kitbashes.

As it often happens, I couldn't wait to finish the ship, so I've already released an image using it. The ship is visible from the top, so all the unfinished bits are not seen.
As always, full size image at deviantART.

Nice job on the group render.

The aft facing deflector comes from the Federation-class dreadnought. It does make sense that ships would have those, as the Enterprise did fly at warp in reverse in Balance of Terror. It just looks fumky because we're not used to seeing it.

I'd love to see a physical model of this...
