When I visited D.C. once, we had a tour guide who was not shy about his dislike of the Statue of Freedom, and I gotta admit... they could have put a better-looking statue up there, lol...
But this is great... I really look forward to seeing this progress.
Nice Job Rehm ! ..... Construction wise, for those not sure how this sort of thing is done ... Follow one segment of the building all the way down and that's what was modelled, .. the rest is instanced so that any changes will update the duplicates, in MAX its called the ARRAY Tool, ... Model one piece, punch in the amount of times you want it repeated, centre the pivot point to the object you want to dress, ... enter what Axis & 360 degree, then BAM !! .... The results usually look good, and rapid !! ....
For the Statues, probably the base mesh is low poly done in Rehm's LW app, ... then exported to ZBrush, .. have some fun in there, then pull the high detail off the Zbrush model saved as Maps to apply to lower-res model ... Voila ...
Knowing those techniques is only half of it though, as you still need very good refs & Info recreating something like this .... i.e Blueprints, schematics, Measurements, how many Pillars, windows etc etc ....
I dont know the building well enough to comment on accuracy, ... but maybe some side by side comparisons would be good to see .... You've done a very nice job Regardless mate .... the renders look nice, and Congrats on the Header !! :thumb:

All he needs to do is add some trees and sky to his render, add some film grain, and you couldnt tell the difference!

my system can easy handle this counts...
So what is the poly count then?
Hopefully have a new box before years end though. Just trying to decide if I can justify dual Xeons, or if a Q9 will do the job...
