Does 3ds Max have a stencil tool?

I normally work in Lightwave, but have to use 3ds max for school, and have a task I'd normally accomplish with the stencil tool. Does max have an equivalent?

the editable poly has a "brush deformation"
you can use your wacom with this.
it's really far from a zbrush/mudbox, but it works... more or less.
it's the closest thing from a stencil tool (if i understand it correctly, i dont have LW)

You can manualy cut in editable poly as well as use shapes or splines to stencil a shape into a mesh via boolean cut or the s/m tool. Just make sure to clear the vertice mess left behind. If max9 use probolean less cleaning and set to imprint. Or use Procutter.
Each day we draw closer to the end.
