75k Legos... daaaaaaaamn,
that is massive, I wonder how much it weighs, 8 ft diameter wow ...
sorry I haven't been posting much, projects around my house have been off the scale for the summer.
I had 2 x 12 day vacations back to back and all I did was wood projects. I do wood working as a hobby and my shop has changed twice, right now it is located in our 3rd floor apartment and I need to move it. So these vacations were about cleaning out my backyard shed, demolishing it and make a space so next year I can build a proper work shop...
haven't given up on DS9... will get it finished...

Ok so it's finally done, after 16 years of procrastination I can finally say the book is closed on this mesh.
It's only fitting that I post the images here seeing how this is where it started..
I think I can start something new now . . lol

I always drop in from time to time to see what is going on..
when I first built it it was around 7+ million polys, AL3D suggested ( in his weird way ) I optimize it, so I did
in later years I even removed some details to make it smaller.
Now it rounded out to 5.3 million Poly's, 286 surfaces and 172 images. it's mostly UV mapped.
thanks evil, I appreciate that, I remember when I started this, there were only a hand full of DS9's on the net,
now there are some really good ones out there.. and... I feel all of their pain and hard work.. this is quite the model to build.

WOW - Literally the best of both worlds STAR TREK and LEGO (the ultimate toy, because you can build anything). So cool.
