---

This is starting out as a typical bar-type Valley coin-op pool table (sort of a cross between a Big Cat/Panther and a Dynamo):

I'm probably going to do a Trek version of a pool table using some of these parts, but this coin-op version will end up in a holodeck at some point.

    Chez Sandrine maybe? 😆

It'll actually be a recreation of a league bar named Angry Wade's here in Brooklyn that closed down due to the pandemic. That bar was the only place around here that I could reliably get some decent games of pool in. :(

Blast from the past! Didn't you do a scene with another pool table ages ago?

    [Edit]Found it:

Yep. That was sixteen years ago. LOL. This was the final version of that:

That was based in a real bar in Virginia Beach, VA (the In-Between, the first gay bar I ever went to and whose logo I designed, but is now long gone).

BTW, I'm pretty sure I still have all the textures from that, but I'll likely only reuse the one for the chalk cubes.

Would be a nice touch for something from the old scene to be reused in the new one.

Like I said, probably just the chalk textures. The rest isn't up to my current standards and not worth the trouble to attempt to convert from trueSpace (and believe me, that's a lot of effort).

Latest render, now using microdisplacement for the cloth and the floor in addition to the bricks:

Added the paint layers on the floor under the table.

Building out the rest of the bar - the building shell has been there for quite a while, but now filling it in:

I'd shoot a rack of 9-ball on that table.

Fixed the ceiling hight and a bunch of other related things (these are just from the viewport, not full renders):
