Here is my recent project I am tackling. Tommy asked me to model the Vulcan ships for his fan film project.
So I started this 3 weeks ago by using Screencaps and orthos by Doug Drexler as references.
I always liked the uniqueness of Vulcan designs. The Sh'Ran looks good so far, great details.
Nice to know the'll be used on Horizon, that project is only getting better and better.

the sh'ran is actually pretty close to what our current warp theory suggest such a ship should infact look like - i find that kinda cool but its entirely possible whoever designed this had read sonny whites papers on warping space and designed the ship with that in mind

Today I started with the smallest of the three ships, the Vahklas (about 110m length).
It has the most organic shapes of all three and there aren't many references of quality except the orthos of Doug Drexler and a few renders. So I am a bit concerned to make it right. It took me a couple of hours to figure out and build the main hull, but I think I got it.
Since I had to look it up, I figured some other people also might not remember it and may need that link. That's actually one of my favorites of the Vulcan ships from Enterprise, I just didn't remember it by name.
That's looking great so far, nice and clean. Since I now use Lightwave, which is what they used on the show back in the day, I'd imagine that's about what their build looked like when they built the ship. (except lower poly)

Well, Matt Jefferies had this design way back...

According to that, Doug Drexler said the Enterprise design was inspiration for the Suurok class, what the Sh'ran is.

Totally agree, but of course it means a lot more if it comes from one of the guys who are working on Axanar right now.
He's also the head effects guy on Star Trek: Phase II.
Awesome indeed.

Tommy, I'll send you a download link later that day.
