Congrats to the both of you on this, a really excellent synergy between design and execution resulting in such a well realized and unique ship. These latest renders just show how the thing seems to look cool from just about any angle. And even though the majority of the components are familiar it isn't just another Constitution configuration rehash, it does look very different and you're to be commended for that.

With regards to the variable vector warp nacelles (guessing they are that from the mid pylon hinges), which angle is for warp? Are they going to raise up like Voyager, or did you have something else in mind?

    Nice work...

Does it have saucer separation or why are there extra impulse engines on the saucer?
Yes, the saucer can seperate. The four main impulse engines are on the saucer, while the secondary hull has two impulse engines at the sides of the cargo bay.

The saucer does appear to have 4 impulse engines but the aft pair are actually warp nacelles.
I didn't feel the need to color code the engines with the traditional red/blue.
In integrated configuration the warp engines only operate at low output. The ship has 3 pairs of impulse engines but only the saucer and Secondary Hull Nacelle Impulse engines operate continually (for maneuverability).

-Separation is much like a Galaxy with similar interlocks (The details of separation were not included)
-The Main Warp nacelles do articulate "up" to 15 degrees.

    @Talon Uk,

My philosophy with the design was for it to be extremely familiar in configuration and yet obviously different.

    Technobable Follows

    Enigma

    Max Warp Speed:
This is defined as the ship's maximum sustained velocity. With Galaxy it was warp 9.2 (not 9.6) The Galaxy couldn't sustain 9.6 more than 12 hours)
Enigma: Warp 9.91 Emergency Speed: Warp 9.97

    Technology

-2 Class 9 Tricyclic Warp Cores (Saucer Nacelles)
-1 Class 8 Senary Scintillation Gamma Warp Core (Secondary Hull)
    -Variable Warp Field Geometry
    -Stealth: Peripheral Subspace Masking
    -Pulse Phaser Array
-11 Enhanced Type X phaser Arrays
-4 Forward Photon Tubes, 2 Aft Photon Tubes
-2 Forward Quantum Tubes, 4 Aft Quantum Tubes
    -6 IMF Impulse Engines
    -4 Linear-Dipole Warp Nacelles
    -Strategic Ablative Armor
    -Regenerative Shields

Essentially what I believe Sovereign should have been.
    Intrepid like Speed Tech
Sovereign size quick regenerative shields high output warp core
Defiant forward Fire Power and Stealth and Ablative Armor

Tobias has definitely done your design justice. I think it achieves the familiar yet unique look you were going for beautifully.
