I have decided to break the Nostromo out on its own.

I've been working on this one for some time. I thinks it's time to finish it. (so does my Wife.. ;) )

I've always kind of liked the nostromo and it's landing sequence in Alien was a good piece of SF film. Good luck with this.

Here are some images I put together to get a sense of scale for the Nostromo. (view the actual images, they are larger then they appear here.)

For me this so much more better than Prometheus...
  • StarriggerStarrigger88 Posts: 617Member
I want to model the prometheus, but the Nostromo holds more interest for me.

Considering how much of my work you do, I won't say anything about the refinery.
  • StarriggerStarrigger88 Posts: 617Member

Haha, that's how I feel with most of my projects. They never seem to get done... I really like the texture you used on this model. Did you make it yourself?

Yes, it is its a simple checked pattern with about 4 different shades of gray, and then I use it as a bump map as well to really give it that paneled look. I also added another layer of a rust image I found on the web somewhere, which gives it that weathered look.
