A lot of work has been done on tactical and revamping the underlying code behind some systems this month. We've also been working on some space monsters that we're keeping close to our chest for the time being.
But something I can show off is a Yalkai Behemoth in action:
Our newest model is the Ornithon Titan and here we have it hiding out in a nebula. We wanted to combine bird like features with a heavy industrial vibe. Of course it does feel a bit like the Klingons and Cardassians had fascist space bird babies :-)
Two things this week, first a look at the Tulock Behemoth and a second grand menace the Infection mothership. (Think the Borg meet the Beast meet the Reapers).
We've reached a pretty big milestone internally this week, finishing off the models for the player-species in the game. There's a bit left, namely the elder Arcturans, Rigelans, and various space monsters to do.
But, to show something off again we have a Synth starbase!
Here's a new image, showing off some of the first steps of the Humans into the stars. After a century of "the dithering" humanity has banded together but the ecological scars are still felt on Earth.
Still more under the hood work on the game, but in terms of things to show off we've finished the super capital ships of the elder races and the Dyson sphere exterior.
Needless to say a Rigelan behemoth isn't something you want to face.
Thanks! We wanted to go with a combination of BSG and Babylon 5 here. Basically they're the Synth creators and started dropping a lot of their technologies due to the AI threat. So mechanical centrifuges instead of artificial gravity and using kinetic weapons (can't outsmart bullet!).
We've shown off the Von Neumann before but not it's FTL effect. Although the player factions use Rigelan warp drive some of the extra galactic threats have their own forms of travel like the VN's hyperspace windows.
Thanks! For each menace we wanted to go with a different FTL. So for the VN a variant of the Homeworld style effect and the Infection (above) something like B5 hyperspace.

Our Steam page went up today!
Also to show off something new, the Selach Citadel! One of the largest stations in the game and about the size of Phobos.
Selach Citadel (View in 3D)
On your Steam page, under the recommended system requirements for Mac and Linux, it says 2 MB of HD space instead of 2 GB.

Here's the end result of what we were live streaming, a Von Neumann self-replicating probe that is one of the galaxy wide threats in the game.

We've been chugging away at things still, but something new to show off is the Aranid behemoth in action!

We also finished up a lot of soundtrack work and put new tracks on soundcloud:

The last of the playable ships, the Synth behemoth! They went full deathstar.

For Christmas, a look at the space crystal!

Space pirates!
A Rigelan beserker, a leftover from the last great war, wakes up to wreck people's stuff.
