Well, those are pretty iconic chairs. They go nicely with the LCARS.
There are actually a LOT of different chair designs. Though, that's not to say you have to design your own. There are a number of more generic looking Sci-Fi chair designs out there.
LCARS will go away, of course.
Well since my goal isn't to design a chair I just copied what I had already finished. Enterprise D bridge from few years ago.
Yep, I'm getting close to the end. I am now finally happy with the circular corridor thing. I'll leave the carpet until the end. For now it looks how it looks.
I don't think it's too difficult actually- what may help others would be to drop in a basic "human shape" object to show a sense of scale on the interior shots, that might help others to build a frame of reference for your renders.
Basic layout and designs are looking good so far- will start to take on it's own identity once the TNG placeholders have been replaced.
Not that I can see beyond the aforementioned chairs and LCARS panels, I was just a little behind in browsing and commenting on a batch of posts at once- my bad for not being more specific.
Blender, Cycles renderer, 6 hours 2500 samples. I usually only allow 300-400 samples, but I forgot about the render this time and it was rendering entire afternoon. Looks good
Thanks, I'll have to bother my friend graphic designer to draw something for me . Also, it's a bit monotone lighting, but that's intentionally. To see details. That will be slightly different in the end. Core will be brighter and the rest of the light dimmer.
I feel that more details would complicate the scene.
Sorry for the high noise, I am rendering them for 30 minutes to see how it looks. I will now render final renders in Cycles and in Lux render and see what comes out better. That means probably 12-20 hours in cycles and even longer in Lux.
And here are final renders. I am now going to switch to another project for some time, to get away from this one. I'll probably have WIP thread for that one also. So, this is it for now.
After thinking for some time about this I might change the colors after I finish one other project. Very dark or very white. Glossy. To give it more SciFi look. I'll see how it works.
Trying something different here. I want to re-design entire spaceship interior. I am not happy with previous interiors at all. And I want to rename the spaceship, but nothing comes to my mind.

Chairs were taken from TNG bridge, later seasons. I was lazy to design my own, but hey, how much can you change a chair??

And while it renders I am working on floorplan
Engine control room
Space-time manipulation control room
Data center and main computer center
I know it's hard to see what will in the end these rooms look like, but I like to take screenshots on my work from earliest point.

Similar screenshot with human figure 1.8m high
I hope you this earlier render can help you make out what's what in this floorplan
Here's some new stuff
These are small elevators that connect reactor room with engine control room shown here
Red tubes are elevator shafts. They are small elevator for one person. You can see the tubes in the floorplan right between two rooms.

Close look
And I am now adding details to the core.
This would the reactor look like if you were standing on the bottom
This is with creepy human figures
The room is looking really nice.
This time with friends

This is very early WIP render
