Well, obviously this thing is heavily influenced by the style of the Empire State Building and the general look of high-rise buildings of that era.
The render represents one fourth of the mesh - it's not mirrored yet to make it easier to work with. The roof level(s) need to be done yet, as well as the ground floors (the base of the building).

Changed the layout of the top-most portion of the tower to add a 45A° angle.
Slimmed the whole tower down by removing three double-rows of windows on the broad side and one on the narrow side.
Nearly done with the first four floors of the base of the building.
Those three levels below the spire need to go away again.
These are the first 25 floors of this building.
But this thing isn't optimized. There are a lot of polygons that aren't visible that are still there and the individual elements aren't welded together - because this is mostly a copy-and-paste model.
