Hi,
I am working on a few shots, and aiming for the OT film look, here is a test shot of one (brief) sequence.

Nice smooth movement, IMO. Looks to me like it's skidding to the right, which is a perfectly valid combat move, if that's what you're going for.
To clarify, skidding means the ship is not moving in exactly the same direction that the nose is pointed.

Thanks, and yeah I angled the ship slightly off-kilter again for the OT look (as they based a lot of the shots from ANH on WWII combat footage)
