Thanks, Evil. These textures need to be tweaked, for sure. That and some dramatic lighting will do the job. :)

Great work. Those look like they could be screencaps from the show. :)

Looking really good. Makes me wish I had done more in the way of animations with mine.

One thing that always got me about the J2 was the number of levels it had inside that just didn't fit the external size. Bridge level, habitation level AND engineering level. That was shown once when it was decided to turn the reactor into a spherical ship to reach Earth. To reach it they opened a hatch on the floor and looked down at the reactor and I'm sure that was from the lower level. Naturally Dr Smith hijacked it and crash landed on the same planet. Perhaps someone could create the ship from the inside out. Do the 3 levels, then clothe it in a J2 hull of suitable size.

    That bothers everybody. ;)

I don't know if you've ever seen the original pilot episode, (available on Hulu free of charge) but the ship only appeared to have one level. When they modified the story and shot the first episode, they changed it to three levels to give the crew things like quarters and the engineering deck. The problem is, they'd already built the model. So, they modified it slightly, but nowhere near enough to realistically look like it has two levels, let alone three

Thank you, gentlemen. I'm catching up on my lighting tutorials as I make the last few tweaks for animation. To be continued ...

As I start the animation-phase of this project, here's a small render of the J2 making a quick landing. Looks like Don is fighting gusty winds as he tries to pin the landing.

It looks great. Yeah, it definitely looks pretty windy there. :)

The Robinsons drop in on the local Super Center to pick up kibble for the Bloop.

Nice to see people are still creating Lost in Space content! I got burned out on CGI after about 15 years with Poser & Bryce.
