You'd think they'd have punched up the Enterprise' explosion a bit more, it just looks like a bit-for-bit copy (even the original stock explosion element) from the original. Which i always thought looked incredibly fake. Having said that, they may have stuck to that one because of it's peculiar use of exploding then reversing as opposed to the traditional kablewy only.
Probably the only recreated element is the energy beam... the rest is original film elements.
It actually doesn't look half bad in motion. I'm going to include that shot in my S6 review video.
