Hi guy. This is my first post in this forum.
I'm Gianni from Italy.
I'm just one of the many unemployed 3dmodeler-illustrator all around the world.
I usually model robots from Japanese Animation of the 80's but this time I had fun with a few 3d models downloaded from the internet. All models from Star Wars.

I choose to do a tribute to the famous scene of the canyon on the Death Star of Star Wars IV (I don't know how you call this scene in English but whe You see my work You will understand what I mean).

Rendering in Modo 701. Post production in Photoshop. Flares from Light Factory.
The greebles on the wall of the canyion are called "Jedilah Greebles Death Star Tiles".
The Darth Vader's Tie fighter comes from Scifi3d.com.

I work hard on correcting the hues and tones to look like the movie. It was very fun to do it!

I hope you like it! Star wars IV was done in 1977 and it's still amazing to reproduce scene from it in 2013.

Bye! Let me know if you like it! And visit my site if you like old huge robots!

Nice work. Only thing I would say is that it would look better with the laser blasts elongated into lines, like this.

Btw, in English it is referred to as the trench, and the sequence is referred to as the trench run.

Oh! Nice idea! I'll another version with the laser beams.

The "trench run" scene...I google it and I found hundreds of pictures. I should ask this before doing the image. Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum. :)

That's some really nice work, especially the version with the added laser beams. I got that the ship was getting ready to fire in the first version, but everybody loves seeing it actually firing. ;)
