For viewing 3d stuff in Lightwave do you need a faster gfx card or faster cpu?

I am just curious, for viewing stuff in Modeler inside Lightwave, do you need a faster cpu or a faster gfx card for better viewing? This is NOT for final rendering of images, just for viewing inside the modeler.
I have an i7 920 cpu and am temtped to get a 6 core i7 if it will make the difference.
