    Strange. The first thought I had when I saw this was "Make those blue blocks warp nacelles and you've got yourself half an Oberth already.". Anyway, I'm guessing she'll have the same basic layout as your TOS Renegade? And will you be going with the original Excelsior's saucer or the Enterprise's saucer as a base, or something in between?

    Oberth? Not a bad idea lol.

    She'll be mostly Excelsior-style, with some Conni-refit elements thrown in. All Renegades from this point have their nacelle/pylons swung upward, usually on a thin part of the secondary hull.

    A new update...been busy finishing my Renegade (TOS)

    Inspired by Oppenheimer's ship, I cut some lines into the saucer section and updated the impulse units.

    More updates. Some sort of room on the front. got some work done on the bottom of the saucer.

    Been busy so I thought I update this.

    Made a new saucer section. Those carved in areas were messed up in the original so I had to remake them unfortunately. These new saucer parts got screwed up as well, as you can see. But the more I look at them the more I like them. Of course I still haven't remade the observation room in the front. Yes I know bad place to put it but it looked cool. Plus it actually works for a scene I hoped to do later. Secondary hull is still pissing me off, but I'll work on that later.

    I like the long impulse deck. Plenty of room for nacelles supports.

    No nacelles there. It'll be close to the Excelsior layout but thicker in some spots and the secondary hull will be connected with the primary hull through an extra area because I always thought the Excelsior saucer looked to big for that neck. Also the nacelle/pylon structure will be similar to the refit conni.

    Here's a look at the reconstructed room on the saucer.
    There's a duplicate room on the bottom as well, but smaller and will serve as a forward torpedo launcher.

    Since someone will eventually ask for it...

    As you can see the Renegade B will be larger than the Excelsior (and yes I know that's the Enterprise-B, but you get the point). I actually hoped to keep her the same length and width (pylon/nacelles not included), but this will work.

    EDIT: Oops forgot the pic hold on.

    Ok some pylon and nacelle work done. The top two pics are what the Renegade-B is going to look like. The third pic is an idea I had. I'll make both versions.

    Lots of details. Showing the forward observation room. More work on the Nacelles done. Impulse deck needs to be rebuilt. forgot to take pics of the new pylons, since I made them bigger.

    This is starting to remind me more and more of certain non-canon Conny variants and I do love the idea of their general hull shapes being carried over into Excelsior tech like the Conny herself was replaced by the Excelsior. Especially digging those nacelles! :)
